Composition project for young composers

Info

A very exciting new opportunity for young composers at secondary school is announced. It is part of a programme of music education projects organised by Cambridgeshire Music in partnership with Cambridge Corn Exchange. The project is inspired by ‘Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini’ by Rachmaninov, featured in the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra concert on 17 October 2014 at Cambridge Corn Exchange. Entrants are invited to submit compositions in the form of a theme and variations for full orchestra. Selected entrants will receive coaching in composition and the opportunity to have their piece performed by the RPO.
