mush is the website for the music education hub in Cambridgeshire, an organisation set up to bring musicians and their supporters together.
The Music Hub for Cambridgeshire is managed by a Board representing different parts of the music education sector in the county.
Currently this includes representatives from the following:
Aldeburgh Young Musicians,
Music for Little People,
The Academy of Ancient Music,
Cambridgeshire County Council,
The Diocese of Ely,
University of Cambridge,
Barton Primary School,
Samuel Pepys Special School,
St Faiths School
The Board meets regularly to review the needs for children and young people, set the strategy and review the impact of the hub and any programmes of work that it funds.
How you can be involved?
As well as becoming a partner in the hub yourself, you can send suggestions, ideas or questions about the development work of the hub via any of the Board organisations above or via our email link on the contact page.
We focus our work in four ways:
1. Providing support for school music development, including funding towards activities and programmes of learning and CPD for music leaders
2. Supporting and facilitating a joined up approach that helps young musicians progress including funding bands and ensembles, courses and other events as well as the training of future music leaders
3. Enabling a range of resources to support partners, participants and organisations including access to equipment and instruments, networking facilities and a home for information through our website
4. Supporting projects and experiences that help with transition across school phases, live music performances, large-scale countywide events and targeted work with groups of young musicians.
